Sid Maderazo Logo

Sid Maderazo is a famous TV commercial director who used to be under 88Storey Films and this logo project came about when he decided to go solo. He wanted a geometric icon that can either symbolize his name, his work, or even his children, being a family man first before being a director. After several studies, we ended up focusing on the clapper board concept until we finalized with the logo on the right.

He told a very nice story on his Instagram about the clapper board and his passion which you can read below:

“I can’t count how many times I’ve seen my name on different types of clapper boards throughout my career. Some are made of wood, plastic , analog and digital- but the most memorable was back in 2001 during my first ever TV commercial. A crew member made a makeshift clapper board out of styrofoam. As I looked at my misspelled name written on it “Director: Sid Madaraso” I thought to myself, “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” So 16 years later, I’m still at it, directing TV commercials and digital content with a renewed spirit, fresh outlook and still extremely passionate. Here’s to all the dreamers- stay focused, stay on course, and don’t let anything or anyone keep you from reaching your goals.”
